Qualification: All Candidates should have the engineering degree in any subject/ branch/ disciplines from a University established by Law in India or a Qualification Recognized by the Government as Equivalent thereto for the Army Short Service Commission (SSC) Tech-65 Men and Short Service Commission (SSC) Tech-36 Women and All Candidates should have the bachelor degree in any subject/ branch/ disciplines from a University established by Law in India or a Qualification Recognized by the Government as Equivalent thereto for the Army Short Service Commission (SSC) Women for (Non-Tech) (Non-UPSC) and All Candidates should have the engineering degree in any subject/ branch/ disciplines from a University established by Law in India or a Qualification Recognized by the Government as Equivalent thereto for the Army Short Service Commission (SSC) Women (Tech).

Age: Applicants age should be between 20 to 27 years as of 1st October 2025 for Short Service Commission (SSC) Tech-60 Men and Short Service Commission (SSC) Tech-36 Women and Applicants age should be between 20 to 35 years as of 1st October 2025 for widows of defence personnel who died in harness only, Short Service Commission (SSC) Women (Non-Tech) (Non-UPSC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) Women (Tech) 

Stipend: A stipend of training is ₹56100/- during the training at OTA, Chennai for selected applicants. On completion, selected applicants will be commissioned as Lt in the 7th pay scale, CPC Pay Level-10 ₹56100/- to ₹177500.

Method of Selection: Only shortlisted eligible applicants depending upon the cutoff percentage will be interviewed at one of the selection centers, viz. Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh (UP), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Call Up letters for SSB Interviews will be issued by respective Selection Centers through the applicant's registered e-mail id and SMS only.

Center Allotment: Allotment of the Selection Center is at discretion of DG Rtg., IHQ of MoD (Army) and No request for changes is entertained in this regard. Applicants will be put through a 2 stages selection procedure at the SSB. Those who clear Stage-I will go Stage-II. Those who fail in Stage-I will be returned on the same day. The duration of SSB interviews is five days.

Medical Examination: All candidates recommended by the SSB will go under Medical Examination by a board of service medical officers.
